All particles > 0.01 micron (µ), whether liquid or solid, are electrically charged at high voltage in the ionizer and separated in the collector from the airflow through the plates of opposite polarity.
Only a filter unit which is able to separate particles < 1 micron with the highest efficiency is an effective health protection as the share of those particles is extremely high in those mists. Those particles are respirable and therefore most harmful.
The separation of those particles by ELBARON® is almost 100%.
